Expert meeting Paris

On October 1 and 2, 2018, the IBPSA Project 1 held its second Expert Meeting. The meeting took place at ENGIE Lab, hosted by Valentin Gavan and Lisa Rivalin. The meeting was attended by 40 people. The main focus of meeting was to coordinate the work of the various work packages. There was also a well received keynote by Loraine Devouton from ENGIE Lab, who stressed the importance of optimizing the energy infrastructure across the different subsystems, of which district heating and cooling are an important backbone.

Expert meeting Berlin

February 27, 2018

On February 27 and 28, 2018, the IBPSA Project 1 held its first Expert Meeting at the UdK Berlin, hosted by Christoph Nytsch-Geusen. The meeting was attended by 60 people. The main focus of meeting was to organize the work within and the dependencies among the work packages. There was also a well received keynote by Hubertus Tummescheit, Chief Strategy Officer and co-founder of Modelon, about “The Adoption of MPC in the Power Industry – Lessons Learned and Ideas for the Buildings Industry.”

Following the completion of the research phase of Annex 60 of the International Energy Agency’s EBC programme, IBPSA France in collaboration with Michael Wetter from LBNL invites you to participate in the GENSIM scientific school that will be held on October 24th until October 28th in Porticcio in Corsica (France) for hands-on training of Modelica, FMI, BIM and GIS developed within Annex 60, to present the main results obtained in Annex 60, and to plan for the upcoming IBPSA Project 1.

Learn about the first collaborative five-year IBPSA-World project called “BIM/GIS and Modelica framework for building and community energy system design and operation,” which IBPSA-World approved to be conducted under its umbrella starting in 2017. This project will continue parts of the five-year IEA EBC Annex 60 project in which 41 institutes from 18 countries collaboratively develop free open-source software based on the Modelica, Functional Mockup Interface and Building Information Modeling standards. Presenters discuss the goals for the IBPSA project, explain the rationale for selecting these technologies, present case studies and discuss how to participate in this project.

IBPSA Board approved continuation of Annex 60

December 10, 2015

On December 10, 2015 in Hyderabad, the Board of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) approved to start project 1 “BIM/GIS and Modelica framework for building and community energy system design and operation” in June 2017 for a duration of 5 years, run by the co-operating agents Michael Wetter and Christoph van Treeck.
